Cody William Stallings, 28, lost his long battle with addiction on August 26, 2024 in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Cody was born September 21, 1995 in Chestertown, MD. He graduated from Queen Anne's County High School in 2014. He had many different types of jobs, but his dream was to have a mobile vape store "Mobile Cloudz". He had started the process of making this dream a reality, but unfortunately he didn't finish the process.
Cody was a loving and kind soul with a pure heart. He was always willing to help anyone with anything. If you needed to laugh, he was there. If you needed to cry, he was there. Or if you just needed a friend, he was there. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Many have said "he had a positive effect on a lot of people." He loved chewy sour candy and the Simpsons was one of his favorite shows. The Bears were his favorite NFL football team. One of his favorite songs was Redeemed by Big Daddy Weave, give it a listen in honor of Cody.
He is survived by his Mother Kim Herd, Fathers Terry Herd and Bill Stallings, Sister Haley Stallings, Bonus Sisters Kassy & Stephanie, Bonus Brother Tony, Grandparents Jackie & Steve McKenzie and Pat & Curtis Corkell, Aunt Kimmie, Uncle Steven (Jenna) McKenzie, Goddaughters Haisley & Ellie McKenzie and many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Bonus Nieces & Nephews.
He is preceded in death by Great Grandparents William & Donna Bauer, Eugene & Rose McKenzie, Pete & Nancy Stallings, Uncle Doug McKenzie and Aunt Sandy Bauer.
A visitation will be held at Faries Funeral Home 29 South Main Street Smyrna, DE 19977 on Wednesday September 11, 2024 from 6pm - 8pm.
In Lieu of flowers there is a Cody Stallings Sober Home Scholarship fund set up through Go Fund Me. Please consider donating to this fund by clicking the link HERE. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday Oct. 13, 2024 at 1pm. The location will be posted later.
