Warner Otis Henry (Pete) was born at home on February 23, 1936 in Townsend, DE to Joseph D. and Bealuh Henry. Surrounded by loved ones, he peacefully entered eternal life on September 2, 2025, in Dover, Delaware. Pete received his early childhood education from The New Discovery Elementary School in Townsend, DE. He graduated his Senior year from Louis L. Redding School in Middletown, Delaware as he was in the first graduating class of 1954, where he was one of the top Honor Roll students. After school he worked and later retired from New Castle County Public Works (Heavy Equipment Operator).

When he was able, Pete was a faithful member of Lee's Chapel United Methodist Church in Townsend, DE, where he accepted Christ. For many years, he managed two winning softball teams: The Noble Gentlemans men's softball team and the women's softball team. One of his biggest pastimes was taking his children, nieces, and nephew, then later his grandchildren to Ocean City, MD, Wildwood, NJ, and various area parks.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents Mr. & Mrs. Joseph D. Henry, sister Mrs. Josephine Simmons, and daughter Rev. Dr. Shirlyn Brown.
