Juanita Elaine Tate was born to the late Master Sergeant Frankie Tate from Shreveport, Louisiana, and the late Nancy M. Price Tate, of Dover, Delaware, on December 28, 1964, in Kent County, Dover, Delaware. She passed away on September 25, 2025, in the presence of her family at home.
At the age of four she was enrolled in Margaret S. Sterck School for the Deaf in Newark, Delaware and then pursued her studies at Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C.
After 30 years she retired from the U.S. Air Force Base in Dover, Delaware, where she worked as a Civil Service Worker in the Classified Department. She additionally held a position at General Food (Kraft) Dover Plant during a summer Pilot Program and worked part-time at Walmart in Cheswold, Delaware, until she fell ill.
Juanita was kind, affectionate, and caring individual to all whom knew her. She took pleasure in being with her grandchildren, going to barbecues, participating in church activities, and celebrating holidays.
Juanita leaves to cherish her memory: her two sons Dwayne Tate and Jermaine Tate both of Dover, Delaware. Two grandchildren, Khaniya N. Fisher Tate and Jameer Lewis, who reside in Dover, Delaware. One sister. Kimberly Tate, two brothers Tony Rolsal(Ann) of Chalfont, Pennsylvania and Nathan Rolsal (Tanika) from Smyrna, Delaware. Three aunts Helen Tate from Louisiana, Shirley Young, and Regina Price Scott both from Felton, Delaware. One niece, Maria Elaine Rolsal, who resides in Pennsylvania. Two special cousins, Sabrina Christy from Towsend, Delaware and Monica Price Harris from Milford, Delaware. A remarkable friend and caregiver, Tammy Micholes, along with host of other family members and friends.
