Colleen Joy Buckley passed away peacefully on June 8, 2023. Daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great great grandmother were her names. She was born September 12, 1932 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Phillip B. and Agnes L. Young.

She was raised with five brothers, with lots of love and great family and friends in Layton. She attended the local LDS church, taught Primary classes and graduated seminary. She graduated from Davis High School.

She worked at the Miller and Universal Floral shops and on Hill AFB as an aircraft mechanic, Rosy the Riverter style, where she earned numerous praises. Through one of her brothers, she met and married Erik Buckley, a WWII veteran and a native of Ogden, Utah in 1952. Early in their marriage, they traveled with their kids to South Dakota and then returned to Utah for Erik’s government job. With much love for each other they solemnized their marriage vows in the Salt Lake City Temple in 1963. They were married for 62 eventful and fulfilling years and raised four daughters together in their home in Farmington. She loved growing up in Utah, her husband, her family, all the camping and at-home reunions, and old western TV shows.

She enjoyed bowling with her brothers, family and friends, and trips to Jackson Hole for their wedding anniversaries.

She is survived by four daughters Marlene (Daryl) Clark Janeane (Bob) Dalton Annette Steed, Ramonna Steadman, 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and two great great children, brothers Paul (Sharon) Young, Steven (Nancy) Young.

Those whose preceded her in death were her husband Erik Buckley, parents Philip and Agnes Young, brothers and wives Philip and Afton Young, Richard and Betty Young, Gary Young and grandson Michael Steed.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Farmington City Cemetery, 500 S. 200 E. Farmington, Utah.
