Ronald Wayne Brown Sr., known affectionately as Ronnie, passed away on October 8, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on November 1, 1946, in Salina, Oklahoma. As we reflect on his life and the impact he had on those around him, we remember him as a man who loved to laugh and had mastered the art of storytelling.
Ronnie had a passion for many things in life. He found great joy in watching team ropings and attending horse sales. Anything that involved horses brought a smile to his face.
He also loved going to Branson to watch the live country music shows and take a step back in time.
He was always known to be buying, selling or trading. From chickens to trucks and everything in between, he loved to wheel and deal.
He never missed an opportunity to eat a good meal and took this time to catch up with old friends and family.
But most of all, he loved people. His friendships spanned across the country, from the young to the old. He truly was a friend to many. Anyone who knew him can say they have a “Ronnie Brown” story.
Ronnie is survived by his beloved wife Patricia Brown; and sons Ron "Moose" Brown and his wife Keli of Wagoner, OK, and Clifford Huff of Pryor, OK; daughters Jamie Pool of Claremore, OK; Julie Christiansen and her husband Kyle of Phoenix, Arizona; brothers Don "Okie" Brown of Phoenix, Arizona; Dale Brown and his wife Staci of Pryor, OK; sister Retha Burruss of Bartlesville, OK; grandchildren Anna, Emma, Tatum, and AJ; and great-grandchildren Hadley and Harper.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lee and Ruth (Roberts) Brown; sisters Jacqueline Maxwell and Maxine Wright.
