Thanh Van Nguyen, born on June 6, 1968, in Vietnam, passed away on November 1, 2025, in Pryor, Oklahoma. He was a devoted machinist at Moore Resource One Division, where he dedicated many years to honing his skills and contributing to the industry.
Outside of his professional life, Thanh was passionate about fishing, woodworking, and gardening, pursuits that brought him joy and fulfillment. His love for the outdoors and hands-on work was evident to all who knew him, allowing him to cultivate both beautiful gardens and cherished memories with family and friends.
Thanh's family was central to his life. He is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Chi Thi Nguyen of the home. His son, Quan Nguyen of Pittsfield, Massachusetts and daughter, San Nguyen of Pryor, Oklahoma. Additionally, he leaves behind his brother-in-law, Kiet Nguyen and wife Be Ttu of Pryor, Oklahoma; his sister, Lan Thi Kim Nguyen of Vietnam, his sisters-in-law's Tuyet Miller and Mai Nguyen of Pryor, Oklahoma; and family friend, Non Nguyen.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Bau Thi Nguyen.
Visitation services for Thanh Van Nguyen will be held on November 5, 2025, at Shipman's Funeral & Cremation Service in Pryor, Oklahoma, starting at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
