I knew Colleen through Salina Noon Rotary, where she was house pianist. A delightful, positive and very musical person. We left Salina in 2010 and I'm only now finding out about her passing. A thoroughly wonderful human being worth celebrating!

I have known Colleen since high school in Ellsworth, Kansas. She was such a talent in music and in dance. Many fond memories. She made the world a little brighter as we traveled through it. Makes me smile. God Bless all her families.

Colleen and I were very close friends and also neighbors all through high school. What a great talent and fun person to be with. Have had her on my mind so much recently but only knew of her passing through a Google search. You, the family, have been blessed to have had her as your Mom. Shirley Beth (Bednasek) Raney

Colleen was an outstanding and much- appreciated staff member when she taught at Coronado Elementary School here in Salina. Her smile and sense of humor continued when she became a retired teacher eating out at a restaurant monthly with a group of other retired teachers. She contributed stories and laughter to our group! She genuinely cared about others.

Jamie and family, I wish you comfort in your loss. Colleen was a cherished friend who lit up any room with her smile and hugs. No doubt, Dick was right there to greet her when she got to Heaven. I loved singing and performing with her as part of The Old Broads on the Block--the silly trio with her at the keyboard and kazoo, etc, me on 'cello and Connie on accordion. (my name was Judy Ewalt, then.) Blessings to you.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Colleen was loved by many and will live in our hearts forever. Her love of music has been handed down and passed on to the next generations many times over...so many of Miss Jewell's students have grown up to teach music, and their students. Her memory lives on.

Ms. J was such an amazing woman. I was a member of the Smoky Hill River Rascals and summer stage with her as music director as a kid. She always supported us kids, her kids as she put it. I loved her dearly and she will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry for your loss, Ms. Jewell was the best teacher at Bonneville Elementary school in Ogden Utah, she was always so happy! I loved being in her music class. She taught us so much! I've often thought about her over the years, and I was just telling my husband about her again the other night. Thank you Ms. Jewell for all that you taught me. You will be forever missed, but never ever forgotten...

Jamie and family. May God be with you during this difficult time. I thank God for allowing my path to cross your Mom's. It was a pleasure and honor to assist her at Creekside. May God bless and keep you during this time of transition.
