Colleen Meg McCardell

Psalm 116:15 Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.

Weeks shy of her 65th birthday and far too soon for those who loved her, Colleen Meg McCardell went home to glory on August 3, 2025. Beloved wife of Paul A. McCardell, II, for 40 years, she was born in Bryn Mawr to Colleen Meg Glasby and the late Bruce McKeith, Sr.

Colleen's was a life well-lived. Following the example of her Savior Jesus Christ, she loved God foremost and others before herself. She was the picture of selfless service. A nurse by profession, she was tender-hearted, highly skilled and filled with compassion. A more devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend you won't find. She saw her life as one to be poured out for others, not for herself.

Colleen (Sissy to many of us) was an adventurous, fun-loving spirit, a curator of the best 60s and 70s music (many of us owe the soundtrack of our lives to her good taste), a tender-hearted animal lover (the rescues were many, her houses were full and the hard-hearted were converted), both fun and really funny she was everyone's favorite for a reason.

In unspeakable joy, she now sees her Savior face to face. Our dearest Sis fought the good fight and finished her race well and we will miss her dearly until the day we join her.

In addition to her husband and mother, Colleen is survived by four children, Chris (Ro) McCardell, Steve (Leslie) McCardell, Shaun (Laura) McCardell and Ryan McCardell. She is also survived by her brother, Bruce McKeith; two sisters, Donna Germon and Jodie McKeith, 15 grandchildren and 6 nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, August 31, 2025 at Hopewell Flower Farm, 520 Pine Swamp Road, Elverson PA https://www.hopewellflowerfarm.com/
