Leslie C. McCardell, 77, of Calvary Homes in Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Little Britain Twp., he was the son of the late James B. and Erma E. (McCardell) McCardell. He was the loving husband of Barbara A. (Little) McCardell for 37 years.
Les worked in the commercial printing industry for forty years, retiring from Quad Graphic in Atglen in 2009. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving from 1966-1969 in Fort Knox, KY and Miesau Germany, attaining the rank of Specialist 5th class. He had a deep and abiding Christian Faith and was a deacon and member of Grace Community Church in Willow Street.
Les is survived by a son, Patrick McCardell (Jill); and twin daughters, Terri Mitchell (William), and Sherri Herr (Tom); five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a brother, Daniel McCardell (Patricia), and four nephews, two nieces; and a daughter in law, Michelle Jennings. He was preceded in death by a son, Brian Lowe and brothers, Dale H. McCardell and James E. McCardell.
A Memorial Service will take place at Grace Community Church of Willow Street, 212 Peach Bottom Rd., Willow Street, PA on Friday, May 30, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. The family will greet friends at the church on Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
A Graveside Service will be held at Union Cemetery, 5637 Street Road, Kirkwood, PA on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.
