Collene Frank Ashe, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away surrounded by her family on November 8, 2025, at the age of 77. She was born on September 5, 1948, In Logan, Utah, to Seth and Grace Frank and was the sixth of seven children—with her twin arriving just minutes later to complete the pair.
Collene graduated from Sky View High School and continued her education at LDS Business College.
On April 14, 1972, she married her sweetheart, Tom Ashe, in the Logan Utah Temple. Together, they raised four loving daughters who were the joy of her life.
Throughout her life, Collene exemplified faith, love, and quiet strength. A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served faithfully in many callings, including Relief Society and Primary.
Collene found joy in the simple things—crafting with her daughters, curling up with a good book, tending her yard, and crocheting. Each year, she eagerly looked forward to Swiss Days with her girls, a cherished tradition filled with laughter, shopping, and treats. In her younger years, she was full of energy and fun—playing softball, and always up for a little mischief and adventure.
She is survived by her husband, Tom; daughters Kim (Chad) Christensen of Tremonton, LaTesa (James) Schrank of Sheridan, MT, Katrina (Lance) Rutz of St. George, and Kari Ashe of Layton; and her grandchildren, who adored their Grandma. She is preceded in death by her parents, Seth and Grace Frank, and her sister, Lauretta Tanner.
A celebration of Collene’s life will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at The Meadowbrook Chapel, 990 North 100 West, Bountiful, UT 84010, with a viewing from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Bountiful City Cemetery.
Collene will be remembered for her warmth, her creativity, her faith—and the love she poured into everyone lucky enough to know her.
