Collin W. Prouty, 28, of Norwich, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025. He was born April 20, 1996, a son of Alan and Julie (Griffith) Prouty. Collin was a member of the Adamsville Global Methodist Church and helped with their mission work. He was a successful farmer running his own business as a Commercial Poultry Producer for nine years. He was an outstanding athlete and was entered into Tri-Valley’s Hall of Fame in 2024. He was All-Ohio in both football and track, a Sterling Athlete, and the most prolific athlete at Tri-Valley Schools. Collin held many titles, including but not limited to; husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He loved hard and lived his life to the fullest. He brought love and laughter to everyone he met. He was a hard worker who would drop everything at any time to help others in his community. He will be remembered for his laughter, his big, apple-cheeked smiles, his jokes, his beautiful red curls, and his huge heart. He will be forever remembered as our “Gentle Giant”.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Alexia (Dowdle) Prouty, whom he married October 26, 2024; his son, Jaxon Prouty and his soon to be daughter, Icie Prouty; grandparents, Terry and Pam Griffith; grandpa, Lester (Trudy) Prouty; grandmother, Nancy Kearns; sister Abigail (Will) Cisco-Prouty; aunt and uncle Jo and Lee Lapp; uncle Tim Prouty; Uncle and Aunt, Rod and Joyce Griffith; nieces, Alivia Palmer, Adrianna Dosch, and Arie Cisco.

He is preceded in death by his uncle, Lester (Lecie) Prouty; and his aunt, Mel Prouty.

Friends and family may call from 1:00 P.M. until time of service starting at 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at the Adamsville Global Methodist Church, 8065 East Street, Adamsville, Ohio 43802, with Pastor Pamela Lashley officiating. All arrangements have been entrusted to the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Collin’s name to his beloved children. A donation box will be available at the church during services or donations can be mailed directly to the Adamsville Global Methodist Church at: 8065 East Street, Adamsville, Ohio 43802.
