Colton Ty Davis

Colton Ty Davis, a vibrant spirit whose laughter and love brightened the lives of all who knew him, passed away far too soon on June 22, 2025, in Glenwood, Arkansas. Born on September 12, 2001, Colton was a beacon of joy, a fun-loving young man who possessed an incredible ability to transform serious moments into occasions for laughter.

Throughout his brief yet impactful life, Colton made a lasting impression on those around him with his goofy laugh and warm personality. He embraced the world with open arms and never met a stranger, drawing others to him with an inviting charm that left them feeling valued and cherished. 

Colton graduated from Caddo Hills High and studied auto Mechanics at National Park College, but it was outside the classroom where his passions truly shined. A dedicated employee of Aapco, he delighted in hands-on work. His interests were a reflection of his adventurous spirit. He loved music, whether it was playing bass guitar with his band the Treetop Bandits or blasting his music for everyone to hear. Hunting and fishing were among his favorite pastimes, activities that brought him closer to nature and allowed him to create lasting memories with family and friends.

Colton was deeply rooted in the love of family. He is survived by his devoted parents, David and Kela Davis, his loving mother, Melissa Davis. Siblings, Kaitlyn Davis, Vanessa Echols, Matthew Murray, Kaley Cogburn and Shayla Jester. Nieces and nephews, Hagen Isom, Raylan Echols, Eric Echols, Hadley Cogburn, Kemper Cogburn, Holden Cogburn, Jayde Jester, Karsyn Jester, Bryson Jester and Wyatt Jester. His sweet fur baby, Zoey.

He now joins his precious sister, Kaylee Simpson, and his grandparents, Alfred and Colleen Davis, Ronnie and Sharon Dycus in eternal rest. Though his time with us was fleeting, Colton's spirit will forever linger in the hearts of those he left behind. His infectious laughter and loving disposition will be sorely missed but will continue to inspire those who remember the joyous moments shared with him.

 As we honor the memory of Colton Ty Davis, we remember his unique ability to make each person feel special and loved. He was a treasure to his family and friends, and his legacy of love and laughter will always remain a guiding light in our lives. 

Colton knew his Lord and Savior and was baptized at Harvest Baptist Church in Hope, Arkansas. 

Officiating the service will be Brother Todd McCaulay and Brother Jeremy Graves.

Pallbearers are Connor Kelly, Tyler Lybrand, Matthew Murray, Cade Payton, Andy Jackson, Simon Whisenhunt, Dusty Brumwell and Devon Buffalo.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 26th from 6pm to 8pm at Thornton Funeral Home in Mount Ida with services following, Friday June 27th at 10am at the First Baptist Church in Norman, Arkansas with burial immediately following services at the Black Springs Cemetery.
