Obituary published on Legacy.com by Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners - Baldwinsville on Mar. 2, 2026.
Concetta Jim, 87, of
Baldwinsville, New York, completed her journey on this earth on March 1, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Syracuse to the late Marco and Olivia (Santilli) Pignalberi.
Concetta lived a rich and beautiful life filled with love, adventure, joy, devotion, and hard work. She married the love of her life, Michael Jim, and together they shared 69 years of partnership, laughter, and unwavering commitment.
She began working in a beauty salon at the age of 14, where she was featured in an advertisement sporting the chic and popular pixie cut of the day. Later, she worked occasional weekends as a coat-check attendant at the popular Three Rivers Inn, where she and her husband enjoyed performances by many celebrated musicians who passed through. In addition, Concetta worked for Century 21 Real Estate and Acme Food Distributors. She retired from General Electric, where she served as an office manager and data release technician in the sonar/radar division, providing dedicated support to engineers.
For the past 30 winters, she and her husband cherished their time in Cocoa Beach, a place that became a second home and a source of warmth, friendship, and treasured memories. She enjoyed many years of travel with family and friends. Alongside her husband, she explored destinations around the world with a treasured group of lifelong friends known as "The Traveling Chiefs." The group was formed by husbands who had served together in the Navy, and together they created memories across countless miles.
Connie lived an active and joyful life and loved being outdoors. In her younger years, she played softball and brought the same competitive spirit and energy to everything she did. Later, she became an avid golfer, rarely turning down a chance to be on the course. She belonged to golf leagues at Greenwood and Wanoa and was also a member of the couples' leagues at Riverside and Glenview. She often joined her husband's regular group of golfers, happily stepping in as their fourth player when needed-a role she embraced with pride and enthusiasm. Golf was not just a pastime, but another way she built friendships and created lasting memories.
Family was at the center of her world. She was the foundation, strength, and comfort of her family, creating a legacy of love and cherished traditions that endured even in her later years. She continued preparing family dinners to bring everyone together, expressing the love and care that always shaped her life. Concetta balanced raising a family and building a meaningful career without ever missing a step, moving gracefully through each chapter of her life. In recent years, she faced illness with remarkable strength, courage, and grace. She met every challenge with quiet determination. Her resilience was an inspiration to all who loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Olivia and Marco Pignalberi; her sisters, Kathy Cudahy and Ramona Hannon; her brothers, Marco and Andrew Pignalberi; and her sister and brother-in-law, Joanne and John Jim.
She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Michael Jim; her three children: Michele (Michael) Oustsmpasidou of Greece, Jackie (George Tucci Jr.) of Baldwinsville, and Michael (Deonna) Jim of Baldwinsville; her beloved grandchildren: Sophia and Konstantina Oustsmpasidou of Greece, Alex Jim, and Alyssa (Monday). She is also survived by her sister, Elaine Kemme; her brothers-in-law, Edward Hannon (Ruth Dinges) and Nick (Elizabeth) Jim. She will be deeply missed by her many cherished nieces and nephews, including the Hannon family: Roz (Mark), Michael (Sherry), David (Lynne), Leslie (Louie), and Lori (Paul); the Jim family: John (Jana), Karen, and Jeffrey; and the Grosso family: Steven, Leon (Tracy), and Julie, as well as Misty (Pete) Luck and Haley Cudahy, Marco Pignaberi, along with their families. Each held a special place in her heart, and she followed their lives with pride and celebrated their milestones with joy.
Connie's faith was a quiet but steady foundation throughout her life. She believed deeply in the strength of family, the power of love, and the comfort of prayer. While her presence will be profoundly missed, her family finds peace in knowing she is reunited with those who went before her and rests now in eternal light and love. Her legacy of kindness, devotion, and unwavering strength will continue to guide all who were blessed to know her.
