Roger A. DeKing

Roger Alan DeKing, 79, of Baldwinsville, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2026 at Crouse Hospital. Roger retired in 2008 where for 25 years he worked as a salesman for Leonard Bus Sales, in Deposit, NY. He was a graduate of Liverpool High School, Class of 64. Roger was a member of the American Legion Post 113, V.F.W Post 5540 in Phoenix, NY, and the Liverpool Elks Lodge 2348. He enjoyed golfing, loved astronomy, and refurbishing telescopes.

He is predeceased by a brother, Rodney DeKing, and a sister Edwina Matharu.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 17 years, Deborah DeKing, daughter, Theresa DeKing, 2 granddaughters, Angela Anguish and Brittany Gleeson, grandson, Nathan Roger Sims, 4 great-grandchildren, step-daughter, Samantha Vanetti-Recore, step-granddaughter, Camilla Vanetti-Recore, 2 sisters, Corinne (Fred) Boyer of Pearland, TX, and Cynthia DeKing (Steve Essig) of Zephyrhills, FL.

Per Roger's wishes a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
