Age 93; Beloved wife of the late Thomas LaPenna; loving daughter of the late Philip and Alfonsa (nee Ianni) Terranova; cherished companion of the late Courtney Rynne; dear sister of the late John and Anthony Terranova; treasured aunt of Florence (Roger) Hubbard, Philip (Audrey) Terranova, Ann Marie (Patrick Neil) Terranova, Julie (John Carter) Bondanza, Michael Bondanza, Madeline (Richard) Schrader, Paul Bondanza, the late Margaret Gorney and the late Joseph and Anthony Terranova; also survived by great nieces and nephews. No prior visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 31st at 10 AM at Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church, 1029 Delaware Ave., Buffalo. Entombment Private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Connie's honor to the Concetta M. La Penna Siena (Italy) Scholarship Fund at Buffalo State University, 1300 Elmwood Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14222, online at alumni.buffalostate.edu/givenow or by phone at (716) 878-4324. Mrs. LaPenna was my fourth grade teacher, and she was a wonderful teacher and an inspiration to me to be a teacher myself. She let me sit at a special table where I corrected my classmates´ papers. Most of all I remember her kindness. May she know eternal peace!
