Connie Jean Cavanaugh, age 85, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 10, 2025.
Born in Carlisle, PA on September 29, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Constantine H. and Agnes A. (Carson) Seletos. Connie was a graduate of William Penn High School. She made her career as a material handler for Astra Zeneca where she retired after many dedicated years of service. She loved to go line dancing. Most of all Connie loved her family, especially playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Harold C. Cavanaugh; and daughter, Heather C. Cavanaugh. She is survived by her sons, Darren (Kimberlee), Mark (Sue), and Sean Cavanaugh; siblings, James Seletos, and Patricia Jackson; grandchildren, Shane Cavanaugh, Kimberly Cavanaugh, Cailin Bucci, Steven Bucci, Ashleigh Wood, Gene Wood, Brandilyn Cavanaugh, Sarah Cavanaugh, Seth Cavanaugh, and Justin Cavanaugh, and Daniel Cavanaugh; and great-grandchildren, Jameson, Tallulah, Owen, Zoey, Lucas, Kenleigh, Jana, Dylan, Delaney, Paige, Carl, and Annilyn.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Monday, July 28, 2025, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 11 am. Inurnment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE.
