Connie Sue Davison age 79, of Meridian and formerly of Clifton, passed away on June 21, 2024 at the Lutheran Sunset Home in Clifton.

Memorial services will take place at 2 P.M., Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Lawson Funeral Home, Meridian, Texas. Pastor Lonnie Lehrman will officiate. 

Connie was born on October 14, 1944 in Sweetwater, Texas to Wendell Dodson Greer and Allie Lee Lambert. She was raised and educated in Sweetwater. After school she met and married George Umberger while he was serving in the United States Air Force. During his military career they had the opportunity to live in the Philippines, Alabama, Montana, Mississippi and Texas. They finally decided to make Texas their home moving to Austin and then to China Spring. In Connie's early years she was an avid bowler and loved to dance to the good ole country music. With a mutual agreement Connie and George decided they were better off friends and remained friends until his passing. After her separation she married Eugene Davison and they enjoyed their life in Bosque County until his passing in 2009. Connie enjoyed being with her family especially her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Sandra Tague, Sancy Thomas and husband, Alton; grandchildren, Cason Worley, Cody Thomas and wife, Amber, Keli Chaney and husband, Colton; great-grandchildren, Gatlin and Austin; sister, Darlene Knight; cousins whom she considered sisters, TeeDee Lehrman and Lanita Richardson; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents; first husband and father of her children, George Umberger; second husband, Eugene Davison; siblings, Rita Hoover, Nelson Greer; and niece, Donna Hoover.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lawson Funeral Home, Meridian, Texas 254-435-2792.
