Connie LaDale Mimbs Fitzpatrick, aged 74, of Gray, Georgia, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, June 2nd, 2024. Born on December 6th, 1949, in Macon, Georgia, Connie was known for her vivacious spirit and her love for life's simple pleasures, like savoring a good cup of coffee and indulging in the latest reality TV shows.
Connie will be remembered as the heart of her family-funny, kind-hearted, caring, and resilient. Her stubbornness was a testament to her strength, earning her the affectionate title "a tough bird" among those who knew her best.
She leaves behind a loving family including her sons, Ken (Paula) Blalock, Dwayne (Susan) Fitzpatrick, and Jerry Dale Fitzpatrick; grandsons, Vince (Susan) Blalock and Josh Blalock; siblings, Wayne Mimbs and Donna Shirene Bryant; and many nieces, nephews, and cherished family members who will miss her dearly. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Kelly Ray Mimbs and Myrtice Pearl Jackson Mimbs.
A private service to celebrate Connie's life will be held at a later date. The Fitzpatrick family is deeply grateful for the compassionate care provided by Gray Memorial Chapel, who is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements. For those wishing to honor Connie's memory, the family suggests registering your condolences online at graymemorialchapel.com.
Connie's legacy of love and laughter will forever be etched in the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in peace.
