Connie Irene Glenn

Connie Irene Glenn, known lovingly as "Lala" to her grandchildren, passed away on March 5, 2026, in Monroe, Georgia, at the age of 67.

Connie lived a life defined by fierce love, boundless generosity, and a humor that could light up any room. To meet Connie was to love her, and she was loved by so many.

She was born on May 6, 1958, in Dallas, Texas, to the late Shirley (Hawkins) Glenn and James Glenn. She was preceded in death by her brothers, James and John Glenn, her devoted husband, David Waits, Jr., and her beloved pets, Lily and Bob.

Connie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly Rutledge and Jimmy Ney; her cherished grandchildren, Tristan Rutledge, Alaina Ney, and Aeson Ney; her sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Mike O'Connor; her sister-in-law, Susan Glenn; her nieces Jennifer O'Connor, Rebecca O'Connor, Amber Moore, Megan Glenn, and Summer Hardy; and her nephews Jason O'Connor and James Glenn; and numerous other family and friends.

Connie dedicated many years to working at her local community Senior Center, where she found joy in serving others. She loved building relationships with the seniors and was so proud to give back to her community. The beautiful friendships and connections she formed there meant the world to her.

Above all else, Connie loved her family and friends deeply. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she took great pride in being their Lala. The love she gave so freely will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Connie's life will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Tim Stewart Funeral Home.
