Connie Jean Holloway

Ms. Connie Jean Holloway, age 59, departed this life Tuesday, September 27, 2022 in Roxboro. She was born in Person County September 28, 1962 to the late John Elvin and Sue Berta Holloway and was a member of New St. James Baptist Church in Timberlake, NC.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by siblings: Clarence Holloway, Maurice Jay and Benita Newman.
She is survived by ten children: Swanett Holloway and Chermiane Barlow (David), both of Durham, NC, Clifton Holloway and Zelda Thorpe, both of Roxboro, NC, Keisha Thorpe (Leon) of Hurdle Mills, NC, Romaine Thorpe, Jamar Thorpe and Karika Thorpe, all of Roxboro, Akeba Holloway of Durham and Michael McRae, Jr. of Roxboro; thirty-six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; siblings: Hallie Holloway and John Robert Holloway, both of Hurdle Mills, Athena Hughes (Keith) of Leasburg, NC, Carla Jay and Richard Holloway, both of Roxboro; three whom she raised: Mary Poole of Roxboro and Angie Poole and Bertha Poole, both of Burlington, NC; and a host of other additional relatives and friends.
A Service of Remembrance will be held Sunday, October 9, 2022 at 2:00pm at Greater Cleggs Chapel Community Missionary Baptist Church, 2601 Surl-Mt. Tirzah Road, Timberlake, NC 27583, with the Rev. Keshon P. Blue, Pastor of Gwynn's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Pelham, NC 27311, providing the eulogy.
The family will receive friends at her home, 136 Cleveland Lane, Roxboro, NC 27573.
