Connie Karg Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Norris-New Funeral Home, Inc. on Dec. 31, 2025.
Connie Lee (Burchiel) Karg

Connie was born in Kenton Ohio on March 23rd, 1954, the eldest child of James and Betty Burchiel. She leaves behind siblings, Mark, Jimmy (Sharon), Jeff and Laura. She graduated from Kenton High School and was a homemaker while her children were young. She worked at Belletech for many years before she was diagnosed with Lupus which left her unable to continue working.

Karl and Connie were married on May 1st, 1971. After a brief time apart upon Karl's death August 12th, 2025, they were reunited on December 17th, 2025, when Connie passed away in Somerset Kentucky.

They retired to Burkesville, Kentucky along the Cumberland River where they were able to find peace and solitude. They enjoyed fishing, hunting and raising beagles.

They leave behind their daughter Allyson (Kristopher) Svihl and son Tyler (Fran) Karg, along with grandchildren Jacob, Isaac, Kayleigh and Karson. Great-grandson Louis completes their family. Their children will cherish the fond memories of the many 4ths of July family gatherings, teaching them to swim at Wish's pond, coaching their teams and volunteering at their school PTO. Karl and Connie could always be found in the stands supporting Allyson and Tyler at all sporting events and concerts.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the many friends and neighbors in Burkesville, including Lane, Ellen and Trent for the much-needed help in the last several months. They would also like to thank the warm caregivers at Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset.

Per their wishes, there will be no services.

Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky was honored to be in charge of all the arrangements.
