Little Orleans, MD – Connie "Peanut" Jean (Stevens) Metty, 66, of Little Orleans, MD, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at her home.
Born October 5, 1958, in Cumberland, MD, Peanut was the daughter of Patricia Ann (Stevens) Davis.
Peanut was preceded in death by her stepfather: Wiliam Davis; her grandparents who she was raised by: Mary and William Stevens; her mother-in-law: Betty Elizabeth Metty; her father-in-law: James Alan Metty; her sister-in-law: Donna Long; and her brother-in-law: Ricky Metty.
Peanut was an avid shopper and will be missed by all those who ran with her during shopping sprees.
Peanut is survived by her loving husband of 48 years: Jimmy Metty; her children: Kimberly Metty, Shawn Metty and wife, Angelica; and Jamie Metty Jr.; her sisters: Tammy Broll, Sharon Grady, and Lisa Dickens and husband, John; her brothers: William Davis, Jr. and wife, Missy; and Snuffy Smith and wife, Sheila; her grandchildren: Shawn Metty, Jr. and fiancée, Shala; Colin Metty, Dakota Hardy and Hunter Hardy; her great-grandson: Wyatt Metty; her bonus daughter: Shannon Metty and fiancé, Ronnie; her bother-and-sisters-in-law: Roddy Metty and wife, Amy; Bonnie Thomas and husband, Kenny; and Helen Thomas and husband, Jean; and a special aunt: Carol Detrik and husband, Lee; as well as her two fur babies: Gunner, and Brody.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, on Monday, February 17, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 P.M. with Shannon Metty officiating.
