Ronald Bierman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A. - Cumberland on Aug. 30, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Ronald Lee Bierman, Jr., 58, of LaVale, went to meet his Saviour Jesus Christ on Aug 28, 2025 after suffering a fatal heart attack. His welcoming committee at the gates of Heaven include his momma, Beverly Ann Cook, and his grandparents, Carl Jerome "Barney" Doolan (Cochese), Betty "Honey" Doolan, James Edward Bierman (Pete), and Helen Waneeta Heaton.

Ronnie was a 1984 graduate of Fort Hill High School. He went on to earn his Bachelor's degree from Frostburg State University. He was employed at Cumberland Concrete. His love for learning led him to being a jack of all trades, doing many side jobs for friends and those that quickly became friends. He was known for his meticulous work in remodeling and flooring. He was a hard worker, always willing to help someone that had a need.

Ronnie loved people. He never knew a stranger. He had immense love for his wife, his boys, his grandkids, family and friends. He loved big. He was a jokester, making you laugh when you didn't know how much you needed it. He loved the outdoors, rock climbing (like his favorite superhero spiderman), camping, hiking, and running. Many of you may have run marathons with him. He found peace outdoors, under the stars, in the creation of His maker. He was a master at tie-dying intricate designs. He started music at a young age under the tutelage of Don Stevens; played numerous instruments and could not pass up karaoke (it was nightly entertainment for him and his wife). Ronnie was one of the most creative and talented people anyone could know. He brought laughter and joy to all.

Those surviving are his wife, Laarnie; his father, Ronald Lee Bierman Sr. and wife Vickie; stepdad, Joseph (Butch) Cook; sisters, Trina Simpson and husband Brent and Karen Stafford and husband Keith; stepbrothers, Jason Bennett and wife Nikki and Jared Bennett and wife Nicki; his sons, Forest Bierman and wife Hailie and Dakota Bierman and wife Hannah; stepson, Daniel James Compton; 5 grandkids, Grayson, Brynlee, Calum, Kieran, and Lila; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland, MD on Tuesday, Sept 2, 2025 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m.

A funeral service will be held at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., Cumberland, on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Jason Smith officiating. Friends will be received an hour prior to the service.

Interment will be at Davis Memorial, Cumberland.

Friends are welcome to come in true Ronnie fashion wearing your favorite tie-dye to a luncheon at Gateway West Church, 401 W Industrial Blvd, Cumberland, following the graveside service.
