She was born in Wheeling, WV, on May 26, 1944 to the late James Donald and Lottie Marie Chamberlain.
She graduated from Strasburg High School in 1962 leaving Strasburg shortly after to work for the FBI in Washington D.C. She went on to obtain an accounting degree at Cleveland State University and studied Early Childhood Education.
Connie explored other career paths as well during her lifetime in business ownership, restaurant management, education, and was a U.S. Postal Carrier.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Alex B. Papai; an infant son; son-in-law, James Furcron; and a brother-in-law, Virgil Bower.
She is survived by a brother, James D. Chamberlain (June); sister, Shirley Bower; stepdaughter, Debra Smith (Dennis); 2 daughters, Mary Furcron and Allison Husted (Charles); grandchildren, James and Matthew Furcron, Alexia and Charlee Husted, Wendy Mandic and Patty Resko; great grandchildren; 1 nephew, David Bower; 4 nieces, Megan, Alaina, Pam and Joy; and many other loved ones.
A memorial service will be held at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Avon, OH at a later date.
