Concepcion "Connie" Ramirez
1942 – 2025
Concepcion Ramirez, lovingly known as "Connie," passed away peacefully on June 16, 2025, at the age of 82. A lifelong resident of San Antonio, Texas, Connie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and a woman of unwavering faith.
Born Concepcion Ozuna in 1942, she was the daughter of the late Seferino and Juanita Ozuna. She graduated from Edgewood High School in 1963 and went on to marry the love of her life, John Ramirez. Together, they shared over 55 years of marriage built on love, partnership, and deep family values.
Connie dedicated her life to caring for her family. She was a proud stay-at-home wife, mother, and grandmother whose strength and warmth created a home filled with love. She is survived by her beloved husband, John Ramirez; their two children, Victor Ramirez (Anna) and Karen Bernal (David); and six grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life: Lilliana, Nicholas, Avery, Zachary, Samuel, and Gabby Lu.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Seferino and Juanita Ozuna, and her siblings Seferino Ozuna Jr. and Matiana Juarez. She is also survived by her twin brother, Antonio Ozuna; brothers Ramon and Raul; and her sisters Mary Lou, Janie, Santos, Victoria, Alicia, and Mary Ellen.
Connie's faith in Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of her life. While she did not attend a specific church regularly in her later years, she was deeply generous-always giving her time and resources to support local churches and charitable organizations in His name.
Her legacy of kindness, generosity, and devotion will live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. at the Alamo Funeral Chapels. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 11;30 a.m. at ST. Thomas More Catholic Church with the burial to follow at Fort Sam Houston National cemetery.
