Connie Speer Remedies of Keithville was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Friday, March 21, 2025, at the age of 81.
Connie was born in Emerson, Arkansas, to Marvin and Hazel Speer, on May 7, 1943. She married the love of her life, John Wilbert Remedies on January 11, 1980, and he remained her constant companion until her death.
Connie always had a bright smile and a kind word for everyone. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking, playing card games, and dominoes. She loved going to church and was a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Keithville.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Hazel Speer; brothers Bill and Dale Speer; daughters Karen McCormack Key, Janet Remedies, and Diane Brewer; son Mike McNerlin; and grandson Jonathan Remedies.
Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband of 45 years, John Wilbert Remedies; daughters Susan McCormack Wiggins (Randy) and Lisa Remedies Hudson; son John Wayne Remedies; as well as thirteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren whom she adored.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the nurses and workers at Gentiva Hospice, The Guest House, and Traci Adkerson (Mike's fiancé) for the care they provided to Connie, especially during her final years.
Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church in Keithville at 11:00 a.m. with services beginning at 12:00 p.m. Bro. Mike Stowell will officiate the service and burial will follow at the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to First Baptist Church in Keithville
