Mary Ann Remedies, 79, a beloved wife, devoted Christian, and cherished member of the Leesville Korean Baptist Church community, passed away on August 4, 2024 in Leesville, Louisiana. She was born in Seoul, South Korea on August 19, 1944.
Mary Ann's life was one of unwavering faith and selfless service to her church and community. She married the love of her life, Henry Ray Remedies of New Llano, Louisiana and they shared a beautiful union for 53 years. Their love story was an inspiration to all who knew them.
At the heart of Mary Ann's life was her dedication to her church family at Leesville Korean Baptist Church. As a leader of the Bible Study Group and Senior Deaconess for over two decades, she touched countless lives with her wisdom and compassion. Her fervent prayers uplifted those around her as she stood as a pillar of strength within the congregation.
Mary Ann's commitment to serving others extended beyond the walls of the church; she was known as a prayer warrior who selflessly put others' needs before her own. Her compassionate spirit made her the first to step forward when there were needs within their ministry or community.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 8th at Labby Memorial Chapel at 601 S. Fourth St., Leesville starting at 9:00 am followed by funeral services at 10:00 am also at Labby Memorial Chapel. Interment will take place at Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery where Mary Ann will be laid to rest alongside fellow veterans who served our country with honor.
Mary Ann leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire generations to come through her kindness and devotion. While we mourn this profound loss here on earth, we find solace in knowing that she has been called home by our Heavenly Father whom she served so faithfully throughout her life.
She is survived by numerous friends whose lives have been forever changed by knowing such an extraordinary woman; but most importantly by Henry Ray Remedies -her loving husband-who stood beside his beloved wife every step along their journey together.
