Connie Sue (Bowen) Runion, 74, passed peacefully on January 5th, 2025 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio after an extensive battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved Librarian at Woodmore Elementary, friendliest employee at the Mortise and Tenon, hairdresser to those old and young; Connie was known around town as a best friend to anyone in need. Connie treated everyone like family; if she knew you, she loved you. Kind to anyone and everyone she met, she touched a lot of lives with the warmth of her smile and hello, and if you were really lucky, a hug.
Connie was preceded in death by her beloved parents Barbara (Pack) and Ted Bowen, her mother & father-in-law Beverly (Minor) & Paul Runion Sr., her brother-in-law Mark (Jean) Runion, and her niece Laura (Aaron) Strong.
She is survived by her adoring husband Paul, her daughters Alissa (Jason) McGough, and Heidi (Chris) Frantz, her grandchildren Hailey (Jeremy) Curry, Tanner (Sydney) Holke, Caden Holke, Mason Frantz, Ellerie McGough, Mylie Frantz, Connor McGough, and Cormac McGough, her great-grandchildren Henry Holke, Margot Holke, and Harper Curry. She is also survived by her sister Vicki (Larry) Shue, her brother Mitch (Patty) Bowen, her brother-in-law Norm Runion, her sister-in-law Jean Runion (Bill Deitemyer), her sister-in-law Debbie (Al) Frankenhauser, and so many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Family and friends will be received 3-7 p.m., Friday, January 10, 2025 at Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, 201 W. Main Street Woodville, OH. A Funeral Service will be conducted 11 a.m., Saturday, January 11,2025 at Woodville United Methodist Church 201 W. First Street Woodville, OH. There will be additional visitation at the church from 10 a.m., until time of service. Officiating will be, Connie's brother, Mitch Bowen and host Pr. Dee Baker. Interment will follow at Westwood Cemetery, Woodville, OH. Friends are asked to join the family in a bereavement luncheon that is to be served in the church fellowship hall immediately following services at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to: Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Those wishing to express a word of encouragement or share a memory or photo may do so at www.marshfuneralhomes.com.
