Myron N. Klink Jr. (known as "Junie" by relatives) passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at ProMedica Bay Park Hospital in
Oregon, OH. He was born on June 26, 1940 to Myron Klink Sr. and Beulah (Hiser) Klink in
Stony Ridge, Ohio. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Stony Ridge and graduated from the very first class of Eastwood High School in 1959.
As a youngster, with instruction from the late Everitt Haas and encouragement from the late Elisabeth Haas, "Junie" along with Virginia Camp hipp- made the very first baseball field on land willed to Stony Ridge by the late Minnie Miller. Both "Junie" and Virginia got poison ivy in the endeavor. He also worked various jobs in Stony Ridge and Coral Harvey's restaurant and also Porky's Quarry during the summer.
When he was a teenager, he saw Elvis Presley with his sister-in-law Pat Klink, at the Toledo Sports Arena. This inspired him to get a job at the Toledo Sports Arena. In the capacity, he got to meet Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, Duane Eddy and other rock and roll stars of the era. It also inspired him to form his own doowop/ pop group; "Ronnie and the Romantics." Telling his mom, that he was playing bingo at church- meanwhile he was opening up for Johnny and the Hurricanes at T-Bones in Toledo. The group also played in an underground African American Club where they were known as "The Boyzs".
After this, Ron (as he was now known) went to work at St. Charles Hospital in the kitchen but was pulled by a nun who said "He's mine."- to work as an orderly. It was while he was working the floors that he met the love of his life; a near genius nursing student named Carol Arbuckle. They met on the psyche floor.
They got married on August 29, 1962 and had their first child, Christia, on May of 1964. A second child, Kevin followed the next year. Later on in 1981, a third child, Kyle, was born. During the 60's Ron graduated from the Toledo School of Barbering and operated a barber shop on Monroe Street. However, Ron was meant to care for people, and went back to St. Charles in the early 70's, where he worked until his retirement in the early 2000's.
Ron had a multitude of friends at St. Charles which he viewed as family. These included: John Fryman, Dr. Manny Madrazo, Nick Belase, Bill Schomaker, Bill Trouten, Kerry Weaver, David Ball and the late Bud Bertolina. High quality nurses such as Nina Bish and Nadene Tsone gave great care, and with Ron, they all had fun. (Just to name a few). Ron truly loved all the people he worked with at St, Charles.
Ron was a die-hard Browns, Buckeyes and Indians Fan. He had coached Little League baseball (with the late Les Snyder and George Pultzse) to championship success, being the first team to beat the all stars in Stony Ridge history.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Myron Sr. and Beulah Klink. Siblings: Ruth Weber, Richard Klink, Norman Klink. Cousin Alura Gamache. Brother-in-laws: Woody Weber, James Arbuckle, Robert Arbuckle. Sister-in-laws: Barbra Arbuckle, Jamie Arbuckle and Nancy Layman.
Survivors include: his wife Carol, daughter Christia (John) Reef, sons: Kevin Klink and Kyle (Aimee) Klink: Grandchildren Cameron Reef, Alexander Klink and James Klink. Nieces and Nephews: Philip (Claudia) Klink, Terry Klink, Daniel (Susan) Klink, Vicky (Terry) Sullivan, David (Jane) Weber, Gary Arbuckle, Taylor (Katie) Arbuckle, Candra Hodge, Wendy Gaines, Tom Gamache, Pam Gamache. Sisters-in-law: Pat Klink and Karen Arbuckle. Brother-in-law: Dr. Gary Arbuckle. Good friends: John Reef Jr., Katherine Reef, Summer Reef and Vincent Reef, along with his friends in Stony Ridge and Woodville.
Ron never had the flashiest car or the most elegant home; nor did he have vast sums of riches, but Ron did give everyone he ever met all he possessed: his personality, his humor, his genuine concern and interest (because to him, all people mattered) and ultimately, his love. His life can be best summed up from Frank Capra's line in the movie "It's a Wonderful Life" – "A man is never a failure if he has friends".
The Klink family wishes to thank the physicians and staff at Pro Medica Bay Park Hospital, Oregon, Ohio and Dr. Meinke and the staff at NOMS Healthcare, Genoa, Ohio for all the great care provided to Ron.
Graveside Services will be at 11 a.m., Monday, February 16, 2026 in Westwood Cemetery,
