Conor W. O'Brien, 61, of Bronx, New York, passed away July 4, 2024, after a brief illness. He was born to Donal and Frances (Walsh) O'Brien. Conor attended St. Margaret School in Riverdale, NY and Fordham Preparatory School.
Conor worked for the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (I.A.T.S.E.) Local One Stagehands, and later in the family construction and real estate companies. He was a kind, caring and generous man, a loyal friend to many, and will be missed by the many lives he touched. Conor enjoyed his passion for real estate, cars, golf and spending time with his loving family, including his surrogate grandsons Ethan and Eric Honse.
Conor is survived by his mother Frances O'Brien, his brother Kieran O'Brien, sisters Kelly McNerney (Chris), and Deirdre O'Brien, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Conor is preceded in death by his partner Teresa Honse, father Donal O'Brien and brother Donal J. O'Brien.
Reposing will be held on Monday, July 8 from 5:00pm – 8:00pm at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Ave. The funeral mass will be held Tuesday, July 9 at 9:45am at St. Margaret of Cortona Church, 6000 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx, NY 10471 followed by burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
