Born on April 1, 1931, in Castelnuovo Belbo, Asti, Italy, she was the cherished daughter of the late Giovanni Batista Cossetti and Agatha Minta Soave Cossetti. Consolata earned a degree in education from the University of Bologna and taught from 1950 to 1955 before immigrating to the United States.
