Robert N. Rosenbaum, age 88, passed on February 8, 2026, in The Villages, Florida after a short illness.

He was born on November 20, 1937, to Maurice and Faye (Dorchinsky) Rosenbaum in Danbury, CT. He graduated from Danbury High School in 1955 and received a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Connecticut in 1959.

He married the love of his life, Linda (Kaplan) of Providence, RI, and they were married for over 65 wonderful years.

He is survived by his two children, Sherry Schmidt and her husband Don of The Villages, FL and Michael Rosenbaum and his wife Nancy of South Windsor, CT, five grandchildren Daniel Schmidt and his wife Jennifer of Holliston, MA, Caroline Schmidt Braude and her husband Michael of Scottsdale, AZ, Ryan Rosenbaum of Manchester, CT, Stephen Rosenbaum of Granby, CT, Katie Rosenbaum of Manchester, CT and a great-grandson Andrew.

Bob and Linda resided in Guilford, CT for decades before retiring to The Villages in 1998.

Bob’s first love was his family, and he always spoke eloquently about his kids, grandkids, and most recently his first great-grandchild. He was passionate about sailing on Long Island Sound for the many years he lived in Connecticut. He thrived in The Villages and came to love the sport of tennis, which he played for over 20 years.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
