Constance Andrews Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mission Park Funeral Chapels Cherry Ridge on Jan. 23, 2026.
Constance "Connie" L. Andrews, 87, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on January 16, 2026.

Born on October 6, 1938, in Parkersburg, "West by God" Virginia, Constance was the daughter of Ordra Ella Withrow and Franklin Edward Fouse. She spent her formative years growing up in Akron, Ohio, alongside her brother, Richard Allen Fouse.

Constance was a driven and visionary entrepreneur whose career spanned many decades and industries. She was involved in numerous successful business ventures, including the first pizza shop to sell its pizzas in grocery stores, as well as operations in casinos and hotels in South Dakota. Her entrepreneurial spirit extended to the restaurant and fast-food industries, where she made a lasting mark in San Antonio, Texas, most notably through the Quick Wok chain, China Rose and Golden Wok. Her determination, innovation, and work ethic were hallmarks of her professional life.

She loved deeply-not only her family, but also friends, strangers, and all living things. Throughout her life, she adopted many dogs, lovingly fed the birds and ducks that gathered on her back porch, and could never bring herself to harm even the smallest bug in her home.

Above all else, Constance was a woman of strength and independence and was a rock for so many. She was known for her resilience, sharp business sense, and unwavering commitment to building something meaningful with her life. Those who knew her admired her perseverance and her ability to laugh in the midst of the hardest times.

Constance is survived by her beloved grandchildren: Stephanie Andrews Jones, Brandy (John) Coleman, Doug Andrews, II, Sheri Nicole Bradley, Chelsi René Roberts, Nikki Gregory, Guy William Schuyler, and Kyle Lee Schuyler; her niece, Betty Jane Monroe; as well as her best friend, Vicki Leclerc. And many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. All who will continue to honor her spirit and legacy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ordra Ella Withrow and Franklin Edward Fouse; her brother, Richard Allen Fouse; her children, Douglas Wayne Andrews, Guy Clayton Andrews Jr., and Gina Cheryl Andrews; her grandson, Derik Clayton Andrews; and her former husband, Guy Clayton Andrews.

Constance will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory lives on through the family she cherished and the legacy she built through a lifetime of determination, compassion, and hard work.
