On July 20, 1967, in Houston, Texas, a beautiful baby girl, Constance Broussard, was born to Alta Broussard and Heron Payne. Raised with love and purpose, she gave her life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Outreach Baptist Church in Houston, TX. Continuing her spiritual journey, she later became a member of Pentecostal Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, TX. Constance grew into a woman whose life radiated humility, compassion, and unwavering kindness.

A proud resident of Dayton, Texas, Constance graduated from Dayton High School, Class of 1985, where she shined athletically, excelling in volleyball, shot put and discus, and she also extended her love of sports to the softball field. Her early years were marked by a vibrant love for music, where she lent her voice to the Southeast Inspirational Gospel Choir, lifting spirits with every note.

Constance's heart was devoted to service. She spent many years working with children and adults with special needs at the West Gray Recreation Center in Houston, where her gentle spirit and tireless dedication made a lasting impact. For 25 years, she served faithfully as a clerk for Texas Health and Human Services Commission, with plans to retire in August 2025-a milestone she approached with grace and gratitude.

In recent years, her love for sports was displayed through her joy and camaraderie-not only at many Houston Astros games and fan events, but also on the tennis court, where she joined an all-women's team that brought her laughter, friendship, and renewed energy. Her presence was a gift. Her smile lit up every room, and her kindness left an undeniable mark on all who knew her.

On August 9, 2025, Constance was called home. Though her physical presence is no longer with us, her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the love she gave, and the example she set. She was a devoted mother to her beloved son, Iyvor Hypolite, who carries forward her spirit and strength.

Constance is survived by her loving mother, Alta Broussard; her father, Heron Payne and his wife; her cherished son, Iyvor Hypolite; her special aunt and uncle, Paul and Marsha Edwards; and a host of aunts, cousins, and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close.

Her life was a testament to grace, service, and love. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
