Connie J. Elmore, 77, of Americus, GA formerly of Lee County, GA, passed away Monday, January 26, 2026 at her residence. The family will host a private memorial service.
Connie was born on July 7, 1948 in Dublin, GA to the late Roy and Virginia Jordan. She moved to Albany, GA with her family when she was five years old. Connie grew up in Albany and was an Albany High School student. She was employed with Sears and Roebuck, Ryder, Office Depot and Staples of Albany. After retirement and moving to Magnolia Manor to be closer to her mother, she enjoyed working at Crook’s Paint Store.
Connie lived in Gainesville, GA for twelve years before moving to Lee County in 2005. She loved playing cards, working on word puzzles and Soduko. Connie also loved to travel and shop. In 2010 she moved to Americus, GA and attended church at Lee Street Methodist and Magnolia Manor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Brent DeLaney Kennedy (2012).
Survivors include her son, Larry Kevin Kennedy (Traci) of Sumner, GA, grandson, CJ Bozeman (Meghan), a nephew, Clint Jordan of Oxford, MS, great granddaughter Scottie Kate Bozeman of Statesboro, Ga, and a special niece, Rosalyn Kirk of Lee County, GA. Connie’s survivor’s also included many great nephews and one great niece.
