Barbara Elmore Obituary
Born on August 15, 1938 in Atlanta, Georgia. Throughout a life marked by dedication and kindness, she built a legacy rooted in family, hard work, and service to others.
Barbara spent many years working as a bookkeeper. Outside of work, she enjoyed music, and talking to her family, and was especially fond of her grandchildren, great grandchildren and recently born great-great granddaughter.
A devoted spouse, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, Barbara is survived by daughter Sherry and son-in-law Tony Miles, daughter-in-law Patty Hawkins, grandchildren Michael Hawkins, Tabitha Greeson, and Donna Dellerman, eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, brother Thomas (Nancy) Appleby, and sister Carolyn Cox, She was preceded in death by mother Virginia Guinn, father Tom Appleby, spouse Leath Elmore, sister Harriet Irvin, son Earl Hawkins and granddaughter Michelle Bair.
A celebration of life will be held on February 5th at 11:00 a.m. at Roberts of Ocala West Chapel with a visitation happening one hour prior. Burial will take place at Good Shepherd, Ocala. Arrangements are being handled by Roberts of Ocala West Chapel.
Barbara will be remembered for unwavering love for family, gentle spirit, strong faith, and for the countless lives she touched during her 87 years.
