Constance L. Farley (nee McNerney), 92, of Holiday City Berkeley passed away Friday, April 12, 2024.
Born in Manhattan, NY, she traveled the country with her Lieutenant Commander Naval father Joseph McNerney, mother Loretta and sister Mary living in Queens, NY, Wappingers Falls, NY, San Diego, CA before returning to settle in Jamaica, Queens. She married her husband Owen and lived in Bloomfield, NJ, Hillside, NJ (where she was an active parishioner at St. Catherine's of Siena) and Maplewood, NJ before moving to Berkeley Twp. in 1993.
Constance worked as a young woman for Equitable Life Insurance in New York City and then later as a Card Associate for American Greetings for several years. In her retirement, Connie loved to take trips to Atlantic City, play cards with her friends and participate in multiple musical shows at the Clubhouse of her community.
She was a parishioner of St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Berkeley Twp.
Constance was predeceased by her husband Owen E. Farley in 2011 and her sister Mary Orth in 2018.
She is survived by her two sons Steve Farley of Toms River and Greg Farley and his partner Kimberley Compton of Toms River, and three grandchildren Abigail Shae Farley, Jordan Compton and Morgan Compton.
Constance was recently connected for the first time with the Cullen family in Ballinaglera, Leitrim, Ireland where she was accepted with loving, open arms. She visited with them three times in the last three years and often said it was one of the most unexpected, rewarding experiences of her life.
