Constance M. Herman May 16, 1930 - August 26, 2024
Connie Herman (née Santoro), 94, passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early morning of Monday, August 26th. Connie suffered from congestive heart failure and progressing dementia. We know her husband, Ed, and son, Chris, were there to meet her and guided her through to peace.
Connie was known for her kindness and sense of humor to the staff and residents in St. Camillus skilled nursing memory care where she lived. Connie enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and painting and was very good at each. She also LOVED dogs! She spoiled her dogs throughout her life and in later years loved getting a visit from her granddogs.
Connie was the beloved wife of the late Ed Herman. Loving mother of the late Chris (Marty), Ed (Sandi), and Livia (Daniel) O’Callaghan. Dear grandma of Jeanette (Kelli), Mary (Adam) Klingenbeck, Tony (Melissa), Sherri, Kristy (Justin) Van Loben Sels, Daniel (Michelle), Jessica (Tyler) Roberts, Elyse, Danny, Michael, and Jimmy O’Callaghan. Great grandma of Eli, Nathan and Anthony Mayborg, Christopher, Timothy, Nicolas, Franklin and Lucy Van Loben Sels, Hannah, Madison, Emma Roberts. Big sister to Joe (Rose), the late Gino (Gail), and Babe (Ron deceased) Newell. Further survived by several nieces and nephews.
Connie will be laid to rest next to husband of 65 years, Ed, and son, Chris, quietly on Friday, September 6th at 2:00pm at St. Joseph Cemetery, 3819 W. 8th Street, Cincinnati, OH 45205.
There was a memorial mass at St. Camillus, Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel on Thursday, September 12th at 11am, at 10201 W. Wisconsin Avenue, Wauwatosa, WI 53226.
There will be a Mass of Remembrance in Cincinnati on October 25th at 4:00pm at St. Simon’s Parish Church located at 825 Pontius Road, Cincinnati OH 45233. Reception to follow.
