Constance Hoefling Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory (43rd St. Chapel) - Bradenton on Feb. 6, 2026.
Constance Jeanne Pittman Hoefling

Connie was born March 7, 1954, in Bradenton, Florida. After an almost ten-year battle with cancer, she walked into the arms of Jesus on February 3rd, 2026.

She was a proud sixth generation Floridian who grew up in the community of Oneco, Florida. She attended Oneco Elementary, Blanche Daughtery Elementary, Bayshore Junior High and graduated from Southeast High in 1972.

After graduation, she started working in the auto parts industry as a office manager/bookkeeper. Her career spanned 30 years, and you may have seen her at Devito's Auto Parts and then in later years at Equipment & Supply Auto Parts Warehouse. She decided to retire early from Crowders Gifts and Gadgets, a job she enjoyed, to take care of her first grandchild Michael.

She loved the Lord, her church, family, friends and music, especially Vince Gill. Some of her hobbies included gardening (especially orchids, desert roses and succulents) and reading.

She had a great childhood but had no sisters. Most people thought she was one of the Pittman girls who lived out on SR 70. They were her sister/cousins, and they were also double first cousins: Judy, Louise, Sharon, Emily, Debbie, Bobbie and Sandy. Growing up together, they spent all holidays and vacations together. In addition to Saturday night guitar pickings with her mom, Dad, aunts and uncles and lots of weekends at their fishing cabin on Lake Okeechobee.

She always felt truly blessed by the Lord. The biggest and best blessings in her life were the birth of her son Dakota, her marriage to Charlie, becoming a mom to her bonus son Ryan and the births of each of her Grandkids. She was called "Nonnie" and loved her grandkids!

She is predeceased by her parents Delmas E. and Katy V. Pittman and her brother Delmas (Ernie) Pittman Jr. She is survived by her husband Charles (Charlie) A Hoefling, sons Dakota V. Slentz (Brittney) of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Charles Ryan Hoefling of Palmetto, Florida and brother Edward (Eddie) T. Pittman of Tallahassee, Florida, grandchildren Michael Ryan Hoefling, Maddison and Mallory Hoefling, Barrett Ryan Slentz, Lincoln Ryan Hoefling and Elaina Joan Marie Slentz and nephew Jonathan R. Pittman.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 7,2026 at 10AM with a Memorial service to follow at 10:30AM at West Bradenton Baptist Church located at 1305 43rd St West, Bradenton, Fl.

Donations in memory of Connie may be made to West Bradenton Baptist Church to be used for the missions and ministries she was passionate about.
