Constance S. McDougal

Hartland- Constance "Connie" S. McDougal, 88, died peacefully on August 6, 2025, in St. Albans.
She was born on October 17, 1936, in Parkman, Maine, a daughter of the late Byron and Fern (Woodard) Clement. She attended Hartland Academy and graduated from Nokomis High School in 1973. She held several positions over the years, working at both Northeast Shoe and Stride Rite, waitressing at the Parkhouse Restaurant, and finally helping with the hot lunch program with SAD #48, a job she really enjoyed.
Connie was a precious lady and always had a positive attitude. She enjoyed driving around with Luther on the back roads and her idea of camping was finding a good hotel! She liked figuring out crossword puzzles and enjoyed putting the jigsaw ones together. She was a longtime member of the Hartland First Baptist Church and took part in teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir, and leading the Pioneer Girls.
She is survived by her daughter, Catherine Johnson and husband, Bruce; son, Jay McDougal; and daughter-in-law, VerDonna. She was Mimi, GG and Grammie to her beloved grandchildren: Mark, Stephanie, Scott, Heather, Darci, Kyle, and Duncan; and to her great grandchildren: Alexandria, Brooke, Peter Jr, Brianna, Camden, Alexandra, Olivier, Frederic and Annabelle. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Luther; son, Colin; grandson, Paul; and five sisters: Natalie, Marie, Beverly, Glenna, and Dorothy.
The family wants to express their appreciation to both Jessie and Chasity for opening their arms of love and home to Connie in her final days. Thank you you two are angels.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, August 11, 2025, at the Hartland First Baptist Church, 10 Elm Street, Hartland, with Mark Brooks officiating. A gathering will follow in the fellowship hall. A committal service will follow the luncheon at the Fuller Corner Cemetery, in Hartland.
