Constance Payne Obituary
Constance Patrice Selby Payne, 64, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2025 at her residence.
A native of Manteo, North Carolina, Constance was born August 19, 1961 to the late Milton Selby and Connie Burton Selby.
Constance formerly worked in medical records. She will be remembered as a great mother who loved her family immensely, especially her grandchildren. She had an incredible sense of humor, often being described as hilarious by her family and friends. Constance loved dressing up, and she loved traveling with her late husband.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband in 2024, Curtis Lee Payne; two children, Sylvester Demetrius Selby and Takeyia Deshae Berry; and her sister, Lovey Elizabeth Selby.
She is survived by one daughter, Ebony Selby (RJ); three brothers, Daniel Selby, Alvin Selby (Joanne), and Julius Selby (Diane); and a host of grandchildren.
Interment will be private at C & C Payne Memorial Park.
