Constance Elaine Ressler "Connie", age 86, died on Friday, November 7, 2025 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 60 years, Ralph Ressler, and her parents and sister.
Mrs. Ressler was born in Dumont New Jersey in 1938. She graduated from Montclair State College with a Bachelor's Degree and later from Virginia Tech with a Master's Degree. She devoted her career working as a teacher and guidance counselor. Before moving to Statesboro, she lived with her family in Auburn, Alabama for nearly forty years. Connie enjoyed camping with her family, traveling with her husband Ralph, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Unitarian Universalist Fellowships in Auburn, Statesboro, and Andover, New Hampshire where she and Ralph spent many summers. She was an animal lover who adored her boxer Maxwell.
She is survived by two sons, Craig Ressler (Sue Norman) and Rand Ressler (Cara), three grandchildren, Cameron Campbell (Hunter), Davis Ressler (Joyce), and Emma Ressler, and one great grandchild, Nora Elaine Ressler, as well as one step-granddaughter Emily Westra (Don Westra) and their children Maria, Chandler, Benson, and Finnick.
Services will be held at a later date.
