Constance L. Womer, 76, of Noblesville, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 12, 2025, while in hospice care. She was born on December 3, 1948, to the late Willis and Mary (Martin) Sisson in Anderson, Indiana.
Connie was a 1967 graduate of Madison Heights High School and earned her BS in 1971 and MS in 1975 from the Butler University School of Education. She was an active member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority, where she held many positions, including Vice President.
A dedicated educator and guidance counselor, Connie served multiple schools in the Anderson Community Schools district for 43 years, including Highland High School, South Side Middle School, East Side Middle School, and Highland Middle School. One of Connie's supervisors noted, "[Connie] goes above and beyond what is expected of her in her job duties and is always willing to help… Regardless of who contacts her for services or help, she cares about people and tries to help them in any way she can."
Connie was a member of Grace Community Church for 15 years, where she enjoyed participating in Rooted, one of their small group programs from 2018 to 2024.
In her youth, Connie enjoyed spending time at Lake Wawasee, staying at her family's lake cottage and waterskiing. Through adulthood, she visited several attractions and states throughout the U.S. During retirement, Connie became a dedicated supporter of Butler University basketball attending their home games and traveling to tournaments to cheer on the team. Over 30 years, Connie adopted four rescue cats and loved their company and caring for them.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, David Womer; son, Wes Womer; daughter, Lauren (Matthew) Symons; and her beloved grandchildren, Levi and Lydia Symons, who brought her immense happiness as she watched them grow.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, with a service beginning at 3:00 pm, on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, in Noblesville. Burial will follow at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
