Cooper Ludwig, a beacon of laughter and kindness, was born on February 2, 1993, in Memphis, TN, and departed from this world far too soon, leaving us on April 21, 2025. His absence is profoundly felt, as he was a warm-hearted soul with a passion for family, humor, and life’s simple pleasures.
He cherished moments spent at the beach with his beloved wife, Kelsey Pharris, and their pet children—Lucy, Dolly, Jameson, Jack, Cowboy, and Maggie. Those sun-soaked days were filled with joy and laughter, showcasing his innate ability to find happiness in the splendor of nature and the company of those he adored. Cooper’s wedding day, unique in every sense as he donned his crazy haircut and Kelsey donned her Crocs in Gatlinburg, epitomized his funny and spirited personality, leaving an indelible impression on all who witnessed it.
He took great pride in his stepchildren- Keon, Aiden, and Ryley and his nieces and nephews—Ella, Emerson, Carlee, Kinslee, Baylor, Camden, Kaylee, Everly, Greenleigh, and Colter—he reveled in their laughter and energy, nurturing their dreams with unwavering support and love. He was a man who effortlessly embodied kindness, understanding, and an infectious passion for life. Whether it was cornholing with family, gathering around bonfires, or planning cruises, Cooper's heart was always open and lively, drawing others to him with his street-smart wisdom and compassionate nature.
Those who knew him will remember his favorite word—“huh”—often uttered with a knowing smile, despite his good hearing. Such quirks only added to the tapestry of the man he was—an individual as relatable as he was vibrant. Cooper possessed a passion for the Ole Miss Rebels, and his spirit could light up any room, making friends feel like family and family feel like home.
Cooper is survived by Kelsey, along with a multitude of loving family members: his siblings Chris (Shelby) Warren, Heather Ludwig, Molly (Hunter) Lawson, Tiffani (Brandon) Allen, Matt Ludwig, Taylor Ludwig, and Kayla Freeman; his cherished Grandma, Susan Osborne; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Their hearts at this time are heavy with sorrow, yet they carry his light forward.
He now joins the embrace of those who have departed before him: his grandparents, Richard and Levetta Lumpkin; his mother, Debra Ludwig; and his uncles and aunts, Vernon (Sherry) Lumpkin and Naomi Salcido. Though physically gone, Cooper’s essence remains—a powerful kaleidoscope of memories, laughter, and countless blessings bestowed upon all fortunate enough to know him.
In honoring Cooper’s life, friends and family are invited to join together for a visitation at The Carter Memorial Chapel at Twin Oaks Funeral Home on April 26, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. His legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering support will ripple through the hearts of all who loved him, forever etched in memories that will bring smiles even in the bittersweet moments. As the flames from family bonfires flicker lovingly in remembrance, so too will the spirit of Cooper Ludwig continue to shine brightly in the stories shared and the love that binds those he leaves behind.
