Age 68, of Franklin Park, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away on April 12, 2025.
Beloved daughter of Nancy C. May and the late William Zoller May, Jr.; cherished mother of Stanford (Cari Lynn) Buckowich and Barett (his fiancée Lindsay) Buckowich; loving sister of William Z. (Karen) May III and Robert C. May. She is also survived by many friends and cousins.
Cora began her career as a physical education teacher and gymnastics coach, quickly becoming beloved by her students. A gifted athlete, she excelled at North Allegheny, setting records in field hockey. She was deeply devoted to her family, always supporting their passions with warmth and enthusiasm.
Cora was always thinking about health and wellness, she became one of the first massage therapists, well before it became mainstream. Her joyful spirit displayed at the family cottage in Canada where she filled days with fun and laughter through activities like water Olympics on Sparrow Lake and creative adventures for the kids such as "The Case of the Missing Dog." Her kindness, creativity, and love will be profoundly missed.
