Cora Williams Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Campbell Funeral Chapel - Trenton on Feb. 20, 2026.
Cora Lee Williams, daughter of the late James Crudup and Annie (Crudup) Epps, was born in Franklin County, North Carolina on December 1, 1939. Cora peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

In 1956, Cora was united in holy matrimony to the late Elbert "Pete" Williams. That same year, they relocated to Trenton, New Jersey, where they built a loving home, and shared a blessed life together until the Lord called him home in 1999. To this union three children were born: Earl Williams, Stella Williams, and Jerry Williams. Cora was a proud, devoted wife and mother whose love for her family was steadfast. She nurtured her family with strength, wisdom, and grace.

Cora dedicated over 56 years of faithful service to St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton, New Jersey, working in many different areas throughout the hospital. However, her compassionate spirit extended far beyond her formal employment. Cora had a true caregiver's heart. She lovingly cared for the sick, the elderly, and anyone in need of comfort or assistance. In addition, she was often called upon to provide childcare for infants and young children, offering the same warmth and attentiveness she gave her own family.

Cora was a devoted member of Samaritan Missionary Baptist Church, where she faithfully served as a deaconess and a choir member for many years. Her service reflected her deep love for the Lord and her church community.

Creativity was one of Cora's many gifts. She loved sewing and crocheting, using her talents to create beautiful handmade items including stuffed animals, tissue box covers, and many other memorable keepsakes that her family and friends will cherish.

One of Cora's favorite pastimes was playing Bingo. She was an avid and enthusiastic Bingo player who enjoyed traveling to various locations to participate. Even in her final months, she continued playing at the senior center, a testament to her lively spirit and love for fellowship. Her life was marked by faith, service, compassion, creativity, and unwavering love for her family and community. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Cora was predeceased by her husband, Elbert "Pete" Williams; brothers, James "Buddy" Crudup, Junest Lee Crudup, Charles Gregory Crudup, and Lee Roy Crudup; brother-in- law, Ira Alston; and sisters, Peggy Debnam and Josephine Harris.

Left to cherish her precious memories are her children: E. Earl Williams of Lake Mary, FL; Jerry L. Williams, and Stella L. Williams both of Hamilton, NJ; sister, Margaret Green (Waverly) of Delran, NJ; uncle, Henry Allen (Brenda) of Louisburg, NC; grandson, Matthew (Natasha); granddaughters, Cheri, Brandi, Lauren (Anthony), and Ashli; great-grandsons, Calvin III, Carter, Ethan, Ezran, and Avery; great-granddaughters, Ciia, Jaila, and Laila; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
