Corban Spencer Summers

Corban Spencer Summers passed away on April 21st, 2025, in West Jordan, Utah at the age of 49. He was born June 13th, 1975 in Salt Lake City to Richard and Rosie Summers. He was married to Kim Summers on February 25th 2025.
Corban graduated high school in 1993 and married Jessica Nelson in July of 1995, with whom he had four children. In 2001 he began working for the West Jordan Fire Department. After one year there, he moved to South Jordan Fire Department where he worked for more than 20 years. He also spent time at the Saratoga Springs and the Bluffdale Fire Departments.
Outside of work, you could find him playing the guitar, listening to music, appreciating the wonder of nature, admiring animals both wild and tame, and cooking. Corban enjoyed sharing even the most mundane or boring activities with the people in his life and turning them into the most incredible adventures. Throughout his life he was known for always being able to light up a room with a witty joke, a prank, a story, or a piece of good news. We were so lucky to have known his generous and unique spirit.
Corban was a husband and a father to some, a brother and a 'funcle' to others, a protector, a friend, and a hero to all. He is survived by his parents, Rosie and Richard Summers, and his siblings Austin (Andrea), Danica (Mike), Jarom (Trisha), Skylar, and Jordan (Elise). He is also survived by his wife, Kim; and his four children Cadence, Dallin, Myrah, and Adelle
Viewings for Corban will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 3930 6000 W in West Valley City, on Friday April 25th from 6-8pm and on Saturday April 26th from 9:30-11am. A funeral service will be conducted at the Hunter High School Auditorium from 1-2:30pm.
The family wishes to give tremendous thanks to the many, many firefighters, first responders, and friends who have helped honor Corban's passing and who will continue his incredible legacy.
