Corbin Chase Wagner, age 26, of St. Augustine, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021. Corbin was born in Effingham, Illinois and grew up in the Jacksonville, Florida area. He attended various Saint Johns County schools as a child and graduated from Creekside High School in 2014. Growing up, Corbin was a member of the Boy Scouts and also loved being part of the youth group with his church family at Cross Creek Church. Corbin served as an integral part of a Costa Rican mission trip to build housing for homeless families and then stayed on to serve through the remainder of the summer.
He worked a variety of jobs after high school, including warehousing, welding, surveying, and other trades. Most recently, he worked at Publix at Palencia in St. Augustine, where he expressed great pride in working his way to a full time position. He enjoyed his time at Publix and was thankful for the opportunity they gave him. He was cared for and appreciated by his co-workers.
Corbin was deeply and dearly loved by his parents, siblings, extended family and friends. Throughout all of the 26 years that he lived he was loved and supported by his family in the most heartfelt and powerful way possible. Corbin was kind hearted, loved to laugh, and had a wonderful sense of humor. His nieces and nephews sensed his youthful spirit, gentle nature, and energy as he played with them at family gatherings. He had an instinctive and abiding love for all animals and privately aspired to work as a veterinarian's assistant.
He was a beloved and cherished son, brother, uncle and grandson who will always be dearly missed and fondly remembered. His passing has created a void within the Wagner Family circle that can only be filled by God.
Corbin is survived by his parents, Robert and Terri Wagner; siblings, Caleb Wagner (Beckie), Casey Wagner (Erika) and Caitlin Chancellor (Michael); grandparents, Patricia Mathias, Janice Reed, Marilyn Durbin, and Brenda Diedrich. Corbin was also loved by his biological family.
A celebration of life will be held at 10am on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Cross Creek Church with Chuck McArthur officiating.
The service will also be made available by livestream on the Cross Creek Church Facebook page, linked here: https://m.facebook.com/crosscreekchurch.jax/

Many memories of Corbin enjoying time with my grandson, and sharing special occassions with our family. My sympathy to his family. I will always remember him with love. So sad to have lost him.
