Corey M. Carleton, 29, passed away July 22, 2024. He was born August 17, 1994, to Gina Lucia (Arcidiacono) Lakus from Pepperell, MA and Michael Edward Carleton from Derry, NH. 

Corey was a 2012 graduate of North Middlesex High School. Corey later attended Peterson electrical school where he became a journeyman. Corey was passionate about electrical work and enjoyed working as an electrician for Electrical Professionals, owner Michael R. Francois for many years. 

Corey had a zest for life. He enjoyed spending the day at the “rope swing” with his friends, playing Disc Golf with his cousin or going for a hike. He enjoyed playing and watching football. He had a love for video games and music. You could find him writing his own song lyrics and poems. Corey had a contagious laugh that could fill your heart with warmth. He had his happiest times hanging out with his sister. They had a sibling love like no other, truly protecting each other and full of love. Corey was the most generous person with a huge heart. He truly cared for people he loved. He was a lover of animals and took special care of his rabbit, Ragnarok. 

Corey had an ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. In addition to his mother Gina and father Michael, he is survived by brothers, Dean Dumont of Pepperell, MA, Khristian Carleton of Londonderry, NH and Tyler Hebert of Derry, NH. He is also survived by his sister and best friend, Haylee Carleton and her fiancé Josh Gipson of Waitsfield, VT; His stepfather Ranier Lakus, from Pepperell, MA; maternal grandparents Sandra Jean (Stramondo) and Donald Faris of Oldsmar, FL and Frank and Marion Arcidiacono of Londonderry, NH; paternal grandparents Donna and Rick Malivich; and many aunts and uncles.

A Celebration of Corey’s Life will be held in the future. His birthday will be celebrated at the Pepperell Community Center, 4 Hollis St., on Saturday, August 17th from 11 am – 4 pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in Corey’s memory may be made to the National Institute on Drug Abuse. Checks or money orders may be made payable to the National Institute on Drug Abuse and sent to: National Institute on Drug Abuse Financial Management Branch C/O NIH Mail Center NIDA 3WFN MSC 6026 16071 Industrial Drive – Dock 11 Gaithersburg, MD 20892* *(Use 20892 for U.S. Postal Service, 20877 for UPS and FedEx)
