McGaffigan Family Funeral HomeJanet Mary Bartelson, age 85, devoted Mother, Babcia, and Prababcia, passed away at home on December 5, 2025. She was born in Lowell, MA on February 12, 1940 to the late Joseph W. Wojcik and the late Gladys Rita Wojcik.
Janet was raised in Lowell attending St. Stanislaus Elementary and Lowell High School. In high school, she was a member of the girl’s basketball team, Glee Club, and was a girl officer.
Janet was a communicant of Our Lady of Grace Parish. Janet worked at the IRS in Andover and Health Works in Lowell, and retired from a business office in Concord, MA.
Janet was an avid reader, loved book sales, the color purple, anything Disney, and pistachio ice cream, but she loved and adored her family near and far most of all.
Janet is survived by four sons, R. Thomas Bartelson and wife Carla of Pepperell, Michael and his wife Kristin of Vero Beach, FL, Keith and his wife Deborah of Pepperell, and David and Robin of Guyana, South America; brother Peter Wojcik and wife Robin of Burlington, MA; 10 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Janet is predeceased by her grandson, Kyle A. Bartelson, and her brother, Brian Wojcik and his wife, Doris.
Visiting hours for Janet will be held in the McGaffigan Funeral Home, 37 Main St., (Rte. 113) Pepperell, MA on Thursday, December 11th from 5 – 8 pm. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Parish worshiping at St. Joseph’s Church, 28 Tarbell St., Pepperell, MA on Friday, December 12th at 10 am. Interment Pepperell Association Cemetery.
